ArtLinks
is continually working to improve its communication of art news and
opportunities to its membership while also making the most effective means of its
resources.
In
recognition that there are often so many websites for many people to keep track, ArtLinks now has adopted a widely recognised web feature to bring automatic updates (feeds) from
its News and Events Calendar straight to your computer, without you needing to
visit the ArtLinks website.
This
is by using automatic feed messaging service, known as RSS * but you need to
download a small, free feed reading program, to collect all the feeds
you want and to keep them in one place. Probably the most popular feed reader
is Google Reader (there are many
others), which can be downloaded here. Importantly, with Google Reader, you can access your feed
updates wherever you can login, so its not dependent on being set up on your
own computer.
To
activate the ArtLinks News or Events feeds to be delivered into your Reader,
please hit the orange icon on the home page of ArtLinks.ie; you can decide
whether to subscribe to items from the ArtLinks News Page or items from the
Events Calendar, or both (ArtLinks recommends that members subscribe to both
feeds).
ArtLinks,
like many other organisations around the world, has adopted that this new feature
information for its members so they are instantly kept informed of all the
news. And once you get the hang of it, you call also subscribe to automatic content
updates from any other website or blog that you are interested in (look out for the orange icon and click to subscribe).

deliver its general monthly e-newsletter but members are advised to subscribe
to the automatic RSS feeds to keep up to date with all news, opportunities and
